  • Welcome Meeting: Join the sociology club to learn about upcoming events and get to know other sociology students! This club is not restricted to majors or minors so bring your friends. Tuesday, September 26th, at 5:00 p.m. in Ketchum 371
  • What Can I Do With My Degree?: Join us for an informational session about possibilities with your sociology degree! Presented by a panel with Michael Lynn (sociology advisor), Dr Glenda Walden (professor & internship coordinator), and Catherine Talbot (Ph.D. student & census employee) to learn about opportunities within the university and beyond! Tuesday, October 3rd at 5:00 p.m. in Ketchum 371
  • “An Interesting Tension” by Ian Whalen: Learn about research conducted by Ian Whalen about what it is like to use Grindr in a Mississippi Town as a gay or bisexual man. This event is not restricted to major or minor, so bring a friend and enjoy free food & interesting conversation! Tuesday, October 10th at 5:00 p.m. in Ketchum 371.
  • “Collective Nightmares: Live Showing BONUS MEETING!!: Join us for a Halloween themed night watching the Blackening and a discussion after the movie! There will be a raffle & free food provided so bring a friend and enjoy this Friday the 13th FRIDAY, October 13th at 5:00 p.m. in Ketchum 1B40.
  • Domestic Violence Awareness Month: Join Dr Hillary Potter and the sociology club to learn about intimate partner abuse and resources available to you. There is a sensitive topic warning for this meeting, food will be available. Tuesday the 17th, at 5:00 p.m. in Ketchum 371.
  • Resume Writing & Career Services Workshop: Join us for a workshop presented by Career Services about improving your resume! Make sure to bring your resume, other application materials, and a friend to this valuable opportunity. Food will be provided.  Tuesday, October 24th at 5:00 pm in Ketchum 371.
  • Cookies and Cram: Join the sociology club for a midterm study event ! There will be decorate your own buff cookie and gluten free options! Tuesday, October 31st at 5:00 pm in Ketchum 371.
