Bio
Lisa is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at CU Boulder. She earned her B.S. in chemical engineering from Arizona State University and her M.A. in sociology from the University of Colorado Denver. Her research interests as a sociologist have been partially inspired by her experiences raising children under the LGBTQ+, neurodivergence, and disability umbrellas and the inequalities faced by those populations. Her research has included the use of quantitative methodology to examine the relationships between medical and legal transitions and mental health outcomes among transgender and gender nonconforming adults.
