Bio

Kelsi Faley is a Ph.D. student and graduate teaching assistant in the Department of Sociology at the University of Colorado Boulder. She holds a B.A. in English Literature and Language and an M.A. in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech University. As an undergraduate and graduate intern with the U.S. Department of State, she worked on policy and programs addressing global rights for women in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Office of Global Women's Issues. Prior to joining the department, she was a high school educator and curriculum developer for five years, where she started a Women's and Gender Studies program and taught AP English and Composition. Her research interests include inequality, gender, work, health, and culture.
