Biography
Sibo Espitia Pierluissi received her B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder in Psychology and Sociology. She is pursuing her PhD in Sociology with a subspecialty in Criminology. Her undergraduate thesis investigated the mediating variables in the relationship between a history of child maltreatment and adolescent deviance supported by competing theoretical frameworks. Apart from her passion of doing research around child abuse and neglect in the U.S., her research interests include juvenile delinquency, studying multigenerational trauma from a sociological lens, and rehabilitation.
